Q: HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL MEDIATION TAKE?

Answer: Depending on the complexity of your case the mediation session can take 2-3 hours on average but could be more. This session focuses on the facilitation of a mediation process that is conducted in good faith with honesty, openness, and fairness throughout.

Q: IS A MEDIATED AGREEMENT BINDING?

Answer: No. A mediated agreement that is put together a certified mediator is a legal document. However, a mediated agreement is not binding until it is filed with the court and the court enforces the agreement.

Q: DO I NEED AN ATTORNEY FOR MEDIATION?

Answer: No. Working with a neutral, certified mediator is the best path for achieving an agreement that is completely self-determined by the parties. However, you are free to consult an attorney at any point throughout the mediation process.
